‘Last bell’ rang at Mariupol schools (PHOTO)

Today at all schools and lyceums of Mariupol the ‘last bell’ rang. This year it sounded for 1870 graduates of the 11th grades.

This year, 72 graduates are candidates for the gold and seven for silver medals. There are 2500 pupils of the 9th grades among the graduates. 124 of them received a certificate with distinction.

For the Technical Lyceum, this graduation anniversary is the 20th. Lyceum students had a school assembly in the City Garden. The event summed up the school year and the graduates  were wished good luck in the new stage of life.

‘This year we have undergone a major overhaul, a large amount of computer equipment, furniture and sports equipment was purchased. This increased the effectiveness of the educational process. This academic year brought us 120 victories of city, 50 regional, 16 all-Ukrainian and 2 international levels. I am sure that our graduates will have enough knowledge, skills and courage to confidently go to the chosen goal,’ Alina Bezzaponova, director of the Technical Lyceum said.

Pupils of a specialized school No. 66 gathered in the courtyard of the educational institution. This year, 37 pupils of the 11th grade are leaving the walls of the supporting school. They thanked the teachers for the amount of knowledge they had invested in them. And the teachers wished their students success in adult life.

‘This year we are meeting the ‘last bell’ in a renovated building: with new appliances, furniture and classes. This year we have 62 students with a high level of knowledge. Our children became winners of city, regional Olympiads and the Ukrainian Academy of Leadership. We studied under the program of future leaders in the United States,’ Natalia Rovitskaya, director of secondary school No. 66 said.

The graduates danced the waltz of high school students.The completion of the school year marked the beginning of the summer holidays. The department of education has carefully prepared for them.

‘We have planned to open 57 school camps since Monday. The work of the camps is planned in 2 shifts, the first - until June 14. The second one will open 11 camps, from July 14 to July 7,’ Elena Buzlama, chief specialist of the education department said.
