A modern educational Multicenter appeared in Mariupol

Mariupol chess club has begun a new life. It was completely updated and filled with a new meaning. This is a joint project of Mariupol City Council, Metinvest Group and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Its total cost is about UAH 13.5 million. Mayor Vadim Boichenko got acquainted with the work of the Multicenter.

According to the Mayor, the project is a new format, where ambitious ideas will be born. In addition, here the youth of Mariupol can become specialists in the IT sphere. Both chess players and fans of this sport will prepare for competitions and spend their time with the benefit.

‘The emergence of the Multicenter is a logical continuation of the development of Mariupol. Our youth had an additional motivation to link their future with our city. This is a place of new perspectives and opportunities. The project is a joint work of Mariupol and our reliable partners - Metinvest Group and USAID. We appreciate you for the caring attitude to the development of Mariupol and the life of citizens,’
Vadim Boichenko stressed.

The project is a development stage in the field of information technology and chess sports. It will cover an educational hub, a cafeteria and an updated chess club. There will be lectures, master classes and educational activities. Modern design, technology and approach to work will allow the Multicenter to become a favorite place of the citizens.

UAH 4 million is allocated from the city budget to transform the chess club. Metinvest Group has invested more than UAH 6.5 million and USAID - about UAH 3 million.
