On the website of Mariupol City Council, the voting on the choice of the location of ‘Kilometer Zero’ has been completed. Most of the residents made a choice in favor of the intersection of Mira and Stroiteley Avenues near Lukomorye Square.

The next stage in the implementation is the choice of the appearance of ‘Kilometer Zero’. Taking into account the chosen location, the designer will develop the layout of the future tourist facility. Then Mariupol will be invited to a public discussion to take into account all the proposals for the project.

It is worth mentioning that in many countries of the world ‘Kilometer Zero’ is a special sign symbolizing the starting point of reference for road distances to various cities or capitals. This project won in the program of mini-grants for the development of culture, tourism and sports in 2019.
