The house located along 19 Krasnomaykskaya Str. has been visited by the Minister for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced People Vadim Chernysh, People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleg Lyashko and the Mayor Vadim Boichenko. 20 families of resettlers will visit it soon. The cost of the project is more than UAH 20 million where UAH 7.5 million is a grant of the state.

The Mayor of Mariupol said that the building was rebuilt from scratch. The main task was to make it energy efficient and comfortable for families of resettlers.

‘These are our fellow countrymen who joined our big Mariupol family. We have formed a strategic vision of our city. I see the future of our city's economy in them. There are representatives of the power bloc, teachers, doctors and faculty memebers of universities-resettlers among them. All of them deserve attention from the state and local authorities. I want to have more projects. We will continue to do our best so that they can be in our beautiful Mariupol,’
Vadim Boichenko said.

Vadim Chernysh with Oleg Lyashko got acquainted with the conditions of social housing. They also looked at the apartments for the less mobile groups equipped with all the elements of accessibility.

‘It should be a state program of support for people who have lost the opportunity to live in their homes. Do the same as Boichenko in Mariupol. Help people who are in trouble today and have problems. This is a home that we open for resettlers who have lost their homes. This is due to the initiative of the local authorities because they are not indifferent. This is an example for the whole country!’ Oleg Lyashko emphasized.

In conclusion, the honorable guests with the Mayor of Mariupol hung a sign on the building ‘Housing for the new Mariupol citizens’. As it was noted by Vadim Chernysh, Mariupol is a city that needs special attention and assistance from the state.

‘Everything is done with the soul in Mariupol. A completely different atmosphere is needed to implement such projects - with respect to internally displaced people or new Mariupol citizens as they are called here. The main thing is that the city authorities would not have made so much if there was no community support. This is a healthy indicator of the way how people demonstrate their best in difficult times. The atmosphere is beautiful here, the resettlers increasingly feel themselves a part of the community. We try to spread this experience throughout the country. We see the result which can be spread through Ukraine,’ the minister said.
