The project for the construction of an extension to school No. 10 has been approved at the meeting of the executive committee of Mariupol city council. It will be a 3-storey building with 24 music classes. The area of the plot for construction is over 3.5 hectares. The total cost of the project is over UAH 52 million. The implementation is planned with the support of a European Investment Bank.
The music school of Left Bank District No. 3 is now in disrepair. After inspecting the building, the expert commission decided that it would be safer and more efficient to build a new building. The extension will be equipped with water supply, sewerage, heating, electric lighting, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Classrooms will be equipped with video surveillance systems, burglar and fire alarms. The room will be equipped with furniture and appliances. In addition, the project provides for the improvement of the external territory.
‘Mariupol is reaching a new level. Before that, only reconstructions were carried out for many years, now we are submitting construction projects. They cover various spheres of city life. These are ambitious tasks that involve a lot of work,’ Mayor Vadym Boichenko said.
It should be noted that Mariupol school No. 3 is one of the largest in the Donetsk region. About 1.5 thousand children study in it. The music school was opened in 1965.
