In the course of the working trip, Oleksandr Holtvenko, the First Deputy Mayor, controlled the progress of the installation of the new municipal bus stop pavilions along the 15th route. For example, one of such pavilions will soon appear at the bus stop of 130th Taganrog Division Street.

The foundation of the modern bus stop has been already laid. While the ongoing of works, Oleksandr Holtvenko drew attention of the contractor to the need to equip this bus stop with the elements of accessibility all around. He reminded utility companies of an integrated approach to the installation of a bus stop place that is an accomplishment of sidewalks adjacent to the stop.

The First Deputy Mayor said that the only archetype of stops adopted in Mariupol has been tested in other cities. “The experience of Prague was used as a basis. The same pavilions are located in Kiev, similar ones in Vinnitsa, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv. Mariupol has taken the best experience of those stopping pavilions that have already been operated in other cities not only in Ukraine but also in Europe”, - he said.

The bus stop of a new sample has already appeared in the district of the plant management of the Azovstal Iron and Steel Works. This year they plan to equip with same modern pavilions all the stops along the longest 15th route which connects Tsentralnyi and Livoberezhnyi neighborhoods.

Businessmen who want to continue running their business at the bus stop, agreed to install a new bus stop pavilion at their own expense. The stops, which are not in demand by business, will become municipal and they will be equipped with the funds of the city budget.

As Oleksandr Holtvenko noted, the installation of modern pavilions would not be limited only by the 15th route: “In the future, we will gradually move forward and expand the coverage of these bus stops around the whole city”.
