This year, a pilot project of a new “Smart Stop” with solar panels will appear in Mariupol. Residents will be able to wait for transport in a comfortable pavilion of the European level. The project is being implemented within the framework of a signed grant agreement with USAID. It includes five small infrastructure smart projects that were chosen by the residents themselves through electronic voting.

As part of the project, it is planned to install a modern glass waiting pavilion with benches, USB sockets for charging smartphones and an information board, where information on the arrival time of transport will be available. The key point is that the pavilion will be completely non-volatile due to the installation of two solar panels. The pilot stop will appear near the Port City shopping and entertainment center. The cost of the new facility is almost UAH 800 000.

Due to the adopted City Development Strategy, currently 72 modern bus stops with information boards have been installed. The plans are to continue modernizing the bus stop pavilions.
