Since March 18, ‘Kommunalnik’ public utility has started the improvement of the bases for eurocontainers. For 2017-2018, about 150 bases were established in the city. 90 sites are planned to be done.
Thus, on Pobedy Avenue 24/19 it was made the routine maintenance of the container site. ‘In total, about 3,500 eurocontainers are installed in Mariupol. We landscaped grounds under them. Now the majority of sites made in the Central and Seaside areas. Now we need to “close” Levoberezhniy district and Kalmius region,’ Natalya Barkalova, deputy director of the communal enterprise said.
According to her, this year the company plans to purchase another batch of eurocontainers. In order to completely update the existing container park, you need about 800 containers.
‘Kommunalnik’ employees also carefully monitor the cleanliness of containers. There are two specialized machines for this. Every ten days, workers clean and wash containers.
The main problem faced by the company is vandalism. To date, 173 containers have been destroyed in this way.
‘It means the bulk. I urge residents to be responsible and vigilant. If you have witnessed an act of vandalism, report it to law enforcement agencies,’ Natalya Barkalova said.
