A meeting-requiem dedicated to the memory of the people who were killed during the offensive Pavlopol-Shirokinsky operation has been held in the City Garden. Everybody who was present laid flowers at the memorial to the soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine. The participants of the operation were awarded with awards.
"The offensive operation laid the foundation for the residents' confidence that the city would remain under the Ukrainian flag. On this foundation, we are developing Mariupol together - a showcase of the Ukrainian Donbas. Our friends, relatives gave their lives for this opportunity. Our task is to remember each of them", Volodymyr Mohylny, chairman of the Central District Administration said.
It was noted that in six days of active hostilities it was possible to move the front line away from Mariupol. This will keep the city safe.
It is worth noting that seven years ago, on February 10, 2015, the ATO forces occupied Shyrokino. In addition, Ukrainian soldiers liberated Pavlopol and Lebedynske.
