The event has taken place in the City Garden near the memorial sign to the soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine. The chaplain served a memorial liturgy.
Representatives of the municipality, the state emergency service in the Donetsk region, military personnel and law enforcement officers came to honor the memory of the deceased volunteers. At the beginning of the event, the national anthem was sounded, after which the chaplain served divine services. At the end of the event, those who were present laid flowers at the memorial sign.
It is worth noting, Volunteer Day in Ukraine is celebrated on March 14. This decision was made by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2017.
