Memory of soldiers-internationalists is honored in Mariupol

On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of combatants on the territory of other states, a meeting-requiem has been held near the memorial sign to soldiers-internationalists. The event was attended by First Deputy Mayor Mykhailo Kohut and Deputy Mayor Olena Paramonova.

“No war is worth human blood. Today our task is to remember everyone who left us. I wish strength and health to those who stayed,” Mukhailo Kohut said.

The head of the Afghan Veterans Association of Azov, Olexander Vlasov, stressed that such events preserve the memory of Mariupol residents who did not return home. He appreciated everyone who does not forget about the tragic events of the past.

Oleksandr Lutsenko, Deputy Military Commissar of the Donetsk Regional Territorial Manning Center, presented insignia to the military for a significant contribution to strengthening the state's defense capability and on the occasion of the day of honoring combatants on the territory of other states.

At the end of the rally, a three-shot volley of the Guard of Honor was heard. The participants honored the memory of those, who were killed during the hostilities with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the memorial sign to the soldiers-internationalists.
