A rally dedicated to the Day of Defenders and Defenders of Ukraine has taken place in Mariupol today. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko and Mayor Vadym Boichenko congratulated the military on Svoboda Square.
“Peaceful life and tranquility of Mariupol residents are protected by those who serve day and night on the line of contact. We are grateful to all these brave men and women who serve our country ”, Vadym Boichenko stressed.
Pavlo Kyrylenko and Vadym Boichenko presented letters of gratitude and gratitude to 20 representatives of power structures and public organizations.
“Nowadays, being a soldier is more than just a profession. It is a vocation and responsibility that is proudly borne by a person with firm and well-established views. Due to the defenders, we have the opportunity to develop the Donetsk region and Ukraine, ” Pavlo Kyrylenko said.
During the rally, all the present honored the memory of the dead servicemen with a minute of silence. A threefold volley was fired in their honor. After that, the participants laid flowers at the memorial to the soldiers-liberators.
