Today, in honor of Frontier Guards Day, a festive concert has been held in Mariupol. The representatives of the Donetsk border detachment and the Mariupol detachment of the marine guard enjoyed the performances of the creative teams. They were congratulated on the professional holiday by the secretary of the city council Stepan Mahsma.
‘On behalf of all residents, I appreciate you for your courage, perseverance and patriotism. Together we could save our city. And today Mariupol is among the five safest cities in Ukraine,’ Stepan Mahsma said.
He stressed that the city council cooperates with the border guards. Mariupol is ready to support them.
Border guards were also congratulated by the deputy head of the Donetsk-Lugansk regional department of the state border service of Ukraine, Colonel Alexander Krug, the head of the Donetsk frontier detachment Anatoly Kotsyurba and other guests of honor. On behalf of the governor of the Donetsk region, the border guards were congratulated by his advisor Nikolai Trofimenko.
During the official part, the border guards were awarded "Veteran Service", "For 10 and 15" years of service medals and ‘Cossack Cross’ award as well as memorable gifts.
