Today the final scientific and practical conference of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the field of ‘Energy Engineering’ has been opened in the Priazov State Technical University.Deputy Mayor Sergei Zakharov was among the members of the presidium of the meeting.
In total, more than 100 students from almost all the regions of Ukraine took part in the competition. 50 of them were invited to the final conference.
Rector of Priazov State Technical University Vyacheslav Voloshin welcomed the participants of the conference and noted that the competition in the institution is held for the eighth time. He called the scientific work ‘the quintessence of the thought of Ukrainian students’ and noted that the participants are making a serious step in science.
Deputy Mayor, Candidate of Technical Sciences Sergey Zakharov noted that issues of energy efficiency and energy saving are among the main ones today. ‘It is symbolic that this conference is held here. It is a kind of magnet for raising important energy issues. I'm sure your inquisitive mind will give a unique result,’ he addressed these words to all the present.
Within the framework of the conference, four breakout sessions on the topics of electricity and heat are scheduled. The winners are going to be awarded tomorrow.
