Charitable art-auction is held in Mariupol

‘Art for All’ charity auction has been held in  ‘Ukrainian House’ Palace of Culture. All funds will be spent to support and develop inclusive creativity of children and youth in Mariupol and surrounding villages. The event was attended by businessmen, philanthropists and volunteers. The participants were greeted by the deputy mayor Sergei Orlov.

Before the auction, on the second floor of the palace, a performance was held with the participation of artists from Kiev, Berlin and Italy.

Deputy mayor Sergei Orlov noted that issues related to using and creating comfortable conditions for people with special needs are always in the focus of the municipality.

‘It is very nice to see that this event brought caring people together. It inspires me that there are people who invest not only financial resources, but also a piece of their heart and soul in helping children and youth who need our support,’ he emphasized.

In turn, the organizer was awarded due to Sergey Orlov for the support of the event from the municipality. The coordinator of the Eastern Partnership projects of the German Children's Fund, Bogdan Androshchuk, noted that the auction demonstrates the possibility of uniting authorities, public figures and caring citizens to help children.

Lots of paintings by contemporary Ukrainian and foreign artists were presented at the auction. In total, the works of more than 30 artists were presented. The starting price began from 200 UAH. As a result, the price reached 1000 UAH.

‘Due to this event, Mariupol children who have creative abilities, but do not have the ability to purchase the necessary equipment, will be able to realize their needs and desires,’ Irina Svyatchenko said.
