From May 31 to June 9 in Mariupol, the Children's Film Festival ‘Children Film Festival’ will be held. Last year the festival was visited by about 42 thousand spectators. Film screenings will take place at the Pobeda cinema. The admission to all movies is free by prior registration. It starts on May 24th.

The goal of the project is to acquaint young viewers with the latest European tapes and with the world film classics. In addition to Mariupol, the festival will be held in more than twenty cities of Ukraine.

By tradition, the competitive program of the 6th Festival of Cinema Art for Children and Teenagers ‘Children Film Festival’ included seven films for viewers from 4 years old, selected at the largest European film forums. The special event of this year will be the show of the classic comedy ‘Circus’ - the show is dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding director Charlie Chaplin.

‘Children Film Fest’ will be opened by the family film Zoo of the joint production of Ireland and Great Britain. The film by Colin MacIvor was recognized as the best family film in the opinion of the youth jury of the Seattle International Film Festival.

As part of ‘Children Film Festival’, for the third time, there will be a screening of films selected for the finals of the children's short film competition. Two animation films will be shown.

The winner of the competition program of the festival is determined by the audience vote - at the entrance to the cinema, the guests receive a newsletter, which assess the film. The winners will receive an award in the amount of 5,000 to 20 000 UAH and honorary diplomas.

The festival is held with the support of the State Agency of Ukraine on Film and Children's Fund of the United Nations UNICEF.
