Mariupol creates conditions for practical training of future doctors

The overhaul of school 23 is underway in Mariupol, it is planned to place a branch of Donetsk National Medical University. Practical classrooms for various medical specialties will be equipped here and about 450 students will be trained. Vadim Boichenko checked the progress of work.

The total cost of reconstruction is UAH 21.2 million. 16.4 million were allocated from the city budget for building repairs. Metal-plastic windows have been installed in the room. The heating system and electrical networks are being replaced. 25 classrooms will be repaired in the three-story building. They also equip 10 simulation audiences. Vadim Boichenko noted the importance of the integrated development of the medical field in the city.

‘We build and reconstruct hospitals, create conditions for high-quality services to residents. And, first of all, we need qualified medical personnel. To do this, we equip the room. Now students will have the opportunity to receive not only theoretical, but also practical knowledge,’
the Mayor stressed.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Oleg Rozenko noted that about 150 foreign students plan to study at the university. This has a positive effect on the image of the city. Also, it is planned to equip a comprehensive simulation center.

It should be noted that lectures are already functioning on the basis of the Children's diagnostic center, where students can take the experience of existing doctors. At the expense of the city budget in Mariupol,19 flats were purchased for a medical university-resettler and a student dormitory was equipped.
