The Center for Social Rehabilitation of Children with Disabilities in the Central District will be modernized. All conditions for the development and socialization of children will appear here. Besides, two kindergartens will be overhauled in the city. Such decisions were taken by members of the executive committee.
The building of the Center for Social Rehabilitation will be thermally modernized, engineering networks will be replaced, and power supply and lighting systems will be uploaded. The key is that barrier-free conditions will be created: internal lifts, an inclusive playground and a well-equipped gym. A specialized sports ground will be arranged on the territory of the Center.
‘This is a very important project, the uniqueness of which was noted by the first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. All opportunities for the rehabilitation and socialization of children with disabilities will be created here. Our goal is to provide the maximum opportunity for their development and support,’ Mayor Vadym Boichenko said.
In addition, this year it is planned to carry out a major overhaul in nursery-kindergartens №110 and 114. Energy saving measures will be introduced, rooms will be updated and modern playgrounds will be created. Due to the renovation, it will be possible to increase the number of groups of children. All projects are implemented within the framework of a non-returnable investment of the European Investment Bank.
‘The European Investment Bank has allocated UAH 800 mln of non- returnable investments. This was the result of trust from international financial institutions. Mariupol has shown that it can effectively manage the budget, is an open and transparent city. The key is that there is a clear development strategy. Due to this, residents will receive modern services and new opportunities,’ the Mayor emphasized.
