In Mariupol noise pollution has been monitored for five days. These types of work were performed by contracting organization from Kiev. Experts studied the situation in all areas of the city. A visual map of noise pollution will be compiled based on the research results.

Special attention was paid to busy sections of roads, areas near industrial enterprises and places where residents turned. Activities are carried out in accordance with the city program for environmental protection. The so-called ‘noise’ map will be divided into zones, in accordance with the level of pollution.

‘The red zone is the place where noise pollution is unsatisfactory, where the installation of special equipment and additional landscaping is required. Yellow zone is where you need to apply low-cost activities. Green - areas that are in the norm’, the head of the department for environmental issues, energy management and labor protection of the city council Vahagn Mnatsakanyan said.

According to the representative of the organization, Andrei Skrypnyk, the work is carried out for 5 days.

Vahagn Mnatsakanyan added that studies on noise loading will contribute to the adjustment of the general plan of the city. The results will be shown to the public to form a common opinion and further action plan.
