Today it is planned to vaccinate 34 medical staff of the City Hospital No. 4 involved in the treatment of patients with COVID-19. The director of the City Hospital No. 4 Vladimir Zhigil and the medical director of the institution Andrei Servetnik are among the first.

“I had no doubts about vaccination. On the one hand, I pursued a personal goal - I did not have a coronavirus, and the vaccine reduces the possibility of infection and protects against possible complications. On the other hand, there is social responsibility. The more people are vaccinated, the faster herd immunity will develop, and the pandemic will end, ” Vladimir Zhigil said.

Andrei Servetnik also agrees with him. According to him, working with patients with Covid-19, he sees what complex complications can be after infection. The medical director added that vaccinations are voluntary.

“Each employee who agreed to be vaccinated before this was familiarized with the Procedure for preparing, conducting and observing after the vaccination. The effectiveness of the vaccine is from 75 to 85%, ”he said.

We will remind, yesterday in Mariupol the first batch of vaccines from Covid-19 in the amount of 500 units was brought. First of all, workers of medical institutions will be vaccinated.
