Today, the School of Leaders of Territorial Development has begun its work in the Development Fund of Mariupol. The heads of structural units of the municipality will prepare projects to improve the life of the city. The Mayor Vadim Boichenko wished fruitful work to the participants and trainers of the School.

The school of territorial development leaders is a short training program for city managers. The project program includes four training modules. The participants will get a basis of knowledge about current trends and approaches of urban development, creativity for the public sector, the effectiveness of teamwork and communication. There will also be a training module on the basics of urban project management.

‘The format in which the training will take place is optimal and effective. It is used throughout Ukraine and abroad. Here we form the trend of an ambitious Mariupol that is strong, intelligent and inspiring. It should become a showcase of the Ukrainian revived Donbass,’
Vadim Boichenko noted.

After passing the training modules, the representatives of the municipality will create mini-projects on improving the quality of services provided to Mariupol, developing concepts for a single electronic cabinet, developing small and medium businesses and modernizing utilities.

The Mayor of Mariupol noted that the path to the head is thorny and it requires some efforts.

‘A leader is a locomotive that leads the team. He enjoys authority with his subordinates. He is not afraid to develop and set ambitious goals. I want the training that you get to make you even stronger. So that your employees believe and inspire you,’
the mayor stressed.

According to the Deputy Mayor, Lilia Tkachenko, there are certain conditions for writing projects. There shouldn’t be more than three people in the group. The representatives of different departments are working at the same topic. The defense of works will be held approximately in February next year.
