In Mariupol, 12 employees of the prosecutor's office of the Donetsk region received the keys to official housing. They were handed over by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova and Mayor Vadym Boichenko.

"You are special people who honestly serve our state. Today Mariupol needs you. In four years we managed to give out 550 apartments to new Mariupol residents. First of all, we support people who need a community. These are teachers, medical workers and law enforcement officers, " the Mayor said.

Vadym Boichenko added that the city does not stop at what has been achieved in the issue of housing. The plans are to build the first "steel house" in Ukraine, where employees of education, medicine and law enforcement agencies will also receive flats.

The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova stressed the importance of supporting prosecutors in the Donetsk region.

“Every day you fulfill your professional obligations not because someone forces you to do it, but because you can't do otherwise. I want to earn the trust of the people and that the profession of prosecutor always sounds proud. I want this pride to be supported morally and materially," the Prosecutor General said.

The purchase of housing took place within the framework of the regional program. The flats were purchased on 50/50 co-financing from local and regional budgets. The total amount is UAH 9.8 million.
