Income from entrepreneurs to the city budget over the past 9 months has increased by 33% compared to the same period in 2020. This was announced at a meeting of the executive committee. According to Mayor Vadym Boichenko, this indicates the growth of business activity in the city.
Director of the Finance Department Kateryna Kalenik spoke about the implementation of the budget of Mariupol community for 9 months of this year. Budget revenues, including transfers, amounted to UAH 4 billion 2 million. Growth of own revenues compared to the same period in 2020 is UAH 371 million.
The largest amount of revenues came from taxes of individuals - 79%. Land payment takes the second place - 7%. This is followed by uniform (6%) and excise taxes (4%).
Vadym Boichenko stressed that for the first time a single tax is approaching the land tax. This demonstrates positive changes in the city.
“This has never happened in Mariupol. This indicates the effectiveness of programs for the development of entrepreneurial activity. We are moving away from a mono-dependent economy. The share of receipts from city-forming enterprises is 33%. It exceeded 50% 5 years ago, ”the Mayor said.
Vadym Boichenko also noted the key problem - the shadow share of the economy. Thus, 30% of working Mariupol residents do not pay taxes
In total, 37 issues were considered at the executive committee. The determination of the contractor of services for the removal of household waste and the granting of powers to the improvement inspection to draw up protocols on administrative offenses are among them.
