A decision has been approved to conclude an agreement between PU "Mariupolteploset" and "Naftogaz" company at the session of Mariupol City Council. This is the first step in order to prevent a sharp rise in the heat tariff. An investment plan has already been developed for the utility company.

‘The first question is fair heating tariffs for Mariupol residents. The main topic is the formula according to which the artificial debt should be written off due to the difference in gas tariffs. This will determine whether we can stop the explosive growth of tariffs for our residents. Now Vadym Boichenko represents the community of Mariupol in a complex contractual process with “Naftogaz” and the Government of Ukraine,’ Ksenia Sukhova, Secretary of the city council said.

Vadym Boichenko, together with the Association of Ukrainian Cities, plans to contact the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmygal and the management of “Naftogaz” in order to develop a formula for writing off debts for the difference in gas tariffs. This will provide an opportunity to continue to develop the cities of the country dynamically.
