In Mariupol, ‘Educational Hype’ educational innovation festival has been held. The participants of the educational project ‘Discover Ukraine’ gathered in ‘Molodyozhnyi’ palace of culture in order to compete for the title of the best project in their area and the opportunity to reach the final which will be held in Kiev.
The festival was held in the format of presentations of cultural and social projects. Ten teams from Mariupol took part in it. Most of all schoolchildren in Donetsk region were worried about the topic of urbanism, environmental, social and cultural problems.
The victory was won by a team of schoolchildren from Staromlinovka village. Their program is aimed at helping lonely older people. The guys presented a project implemented by their own efforts. They conducted a humanitarian gathering to assist retirees. They also acquainted the audience with future plans for the implementation of social projects.
It is worth mentioning ‘Discover Ukraine’ project for the fourth year teaches schoolchildren of 7-11 grades to change cities. Besides, topical issues in education in the format of a round table were dicussed. In Mariupol the present and the future of student self-government was also discussed.
