Mariupol has been visited by international experts on strategic communications. Deputy Mayor Sergei Orlov met with the experts from the UK, the Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania and the North Atlantic Council. They discussed the Development Strategy of Mariupol and its safety.

Sergey Orlov spoke about the development vector of Mariupol. For three years, the city has shown a positive trend in all spheres of life: from increasing the level of security to reconstruction of health facilities, education and park areas. In particular, at utilities, comfortable working conditions with decent wages are created. Thus, the city competes along with the city-forming enterprises in the labor market. Due to this, 3,5 000 jobs were created in Mariupol.

‘Mariupol today is a transparent and safe city. We are among the leaders of Transparency International rating. Our task is to make Mariupol a post-industrial city by the sea. We are following this path and we are already showing high achievements. Mariupol is changing rapidly. This is also a great merit of the power block and the support of our partners,’ the deputy mayor emphasized.

The fact that today Mariupol is included in the rating of safe cities in Ukraine was told by the Director of the Department for Security and Prevention of Corruption Gregory Berezun. Mariupol is the first city in which the United Analytical Service Center was opened with unique software. For example, smart cameras are installed in the city that recognize the faces of people and the brand of cars, which helps to quickly search for criminals and drivers-violators.

In turn, international experts noted positive changes in Mariupol. For example, the desire of young people to connect their future with the city. This is facilitated by the attraction of higher educational institutions to Mariupol, the creation of comfortable working conditions and new opportunities for further development.
