‘Development Fund of Mariupol’ has held a meeting of leavers of the ‘Municipal School’. 75 Mariupol residents were trained there. The graduates of the school have been trained in different parts of the municipality. Many of them have found their place of work in the city council.

Now they are engaged in the development of projects aimed at solving actual problems of citizens and the further development of the city. This was told by the director of the Development Fund of Mariupol Tatiana Lomakina.

It is worth noting that the Municipal School is a joint project of the Development Fund of Mariupol and Mariupol City Council. In 2017, the program was recognized as the winner of the All-Ukrainian competition of the best projects in the field of adult education in the nomination “Best educational project for the development of local communities”.

During the reunion meeting, a new project, “Municipal School. Reunion.’ was presented. It aims to share creative ideas and useful information.

The representatives of UNICEF Ukraine, the UNDP in Ukraine, Mariupol City Council, the Mariupol Union of Youth, and ‘m. EHAB’ spoke with the youth. They talked about the projects that would allow young people to implement their initiatives.

For example, UNICEF conducts a quick survey program in Ukraine via free SMS or Twitter “U-report”. Business grants for starting business are provided by the UNDP Development Program. For enterprising young people, the Development Fund of Mariupol, together with the Youth Union, opens ‘Skills Lab 2.0 Skills Lab: an own business’.
