Three children were born in the Perinatal Center. The first was Anastasia. She was born at 5.40. Parents were pleasantly surprised by the gift and noted that now they will remember this day for a lifetime.
Born in the maternity hospital number 2, Matvey became the second child in the family. ‘We were helped by the medical team. There are qualified doctors here. We are very grateful to them for their kindness and comfort,’ a young mother Elena said.
Maxim is also among the first babies of the new year. He was born at 10.25. Mama Alina Voloshina is sure that the birth of a child is the most important thing in life.
The department made all the conditions for the comfort of future mothers. ‘We are trying to bring the conditions of childbirth and stay of women with a child to home. We want them to feel like at home. Our mothers can stay together with their husbands and children,’ Sergey Zemlyakov, the Head of the maternity ward of Child and Woman Health said.
It is worth noting that in Mariupol, in comparison with previous years, an increase in the birth rate is observed. ‘On the first day of the new year, we had two more babies than during the same period last year. In general, in 2018 the rate of decline in fertility decreased by half in Mariupol. In total, more than 3.5 000 babies were born last year. We hope and believe that the trend towards an increase in the birth rate will be observed throughout the year, ‘Svetlana Makarova said.
