At the XLVIII session of the city council, deputies have voted for the "Program of Economic and Social Development of Mariupol for 2020." The potential development budget is more than UAH 3 billion.

The director of the department of economics of the city council Yevgeny Bodyagin emphasized that Mariupol remains the largest industrial center in the region. More than half of industrial products are produced in our city. There is also a steady development in terms of retail sales and an increase in the number of business entities.

‘Due to this, the number of officially employed workers is increasing. This indicates effective joint work on the legalization of labor. The payroll is increasing. It is forecasted to reach UAH 1.5 billion next year,’ said Yevgeny Bodyagin.

The development budget for the next year is adopted at the amount of UAH 1 billion 200 million. The expected budget, upon receipt of a subvention from the state budget and credit funds, under already signed agreements is UAH 2 billion 600 million. Potential, due to already signed agreements, but not yet developed schedules for the receipt of funds - more than 3 billion UAH.

‘The development budget figure is a record for Mariupol. This is the result of our joint work aimed at the development of the city. We became open, transparent and, thanks to this, were able to attract foreign investment. Now our main responsibility is to realize such a budget,’
Vadym Boichenko said.
