Today, the Educational Multicenter has presented the Strategy for the development of micro, small and medium businesses in Mariupol. The presentation was visited by Mayor Vadim Boichenko. The strategy was developed taking into account the research conducted by the Department of Economics of the City Council, together with experts in the implementation of business projects in Ukraine. It provides 3 blocks of development: culture, activators and support mechanisms.
The strategy was discussed by the heads of structural units of the municipality, deputies and entrepreneurs.
In the block of culture, the work will be aimed at increasing the prestige of entrepreneurship, targeting business education. The strategy also provides for the improvement of support mechanisms for entrepreneurs through grants, incubation programs and city competitions.
‘The development strategy is applied. This is a document where there are real road maps that you need to follow. And we will follow them,’ Yevgeniy Bodyagin, director of the economic department said.
According to the Strategy, a center of small and medium business will be created in Mariupol. It will become a platform that will help start-up and current entrepreneurs in legal matters, learn and create business plans.

The results of the presentation of the Strategy were discussed with the Mayor. He assured that the city will assist in creating a center to support small and medium-sized businesses. Besides, the leader of the center of entrepreneurs, which will help to develop business honestly will appear in Mariupol.
Vadim Boichenko had signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the USAID project ‘Economic support for Eastern Ukraine’ before. Under the agreement, it is planned to implement projects with the aim of supporting the business and restoring infrastructure facilities.
