In the Primorsky district the reconstruction of the children's and youth sports school №2 is underway. After the repairs, about two thousand children can swim professionally, as well as attend gymnastics and archery sections. Mayor Vadym Boichenko checked the progress of work.
“Every district should have a sports center for the whole family. We also develop professional sports. A number of reconstructions are underway in Mariupol to create the necessary conditions. Professional athletes defend the sporting glory of the city and are an example for young people. In this way, we inspire our children to play sports and promote a healthy lifestyle”,
- Vadym Boichenko noted.
The building of the sports school for children and youth has not been renovated since 1972. Reconstruction has begun in May this year. Dismantling works have already been completed by 80%. It is also planned to replace windows and stained glass, utilities and internal communications. Most rooms will be redeveloped.
The pool bowl will be repaired and finished. Before the renovation, it worked only during the heating season. That kind of practice is used only in one basin of Ukraine - in Kiev. There will be two such pools in Mariupol – at sports school №2 and in the Neptune swimming pool.
