In Mariupol, bed linen from kindergartens is now washed in a centralized laundry room. It was equipped in a one-story building near kindergarten No. 16. A municipal institution serves preschool institutions in all districts of the city.
There are three rooms in the laundry. In one, the laundry is done, in the other, the sheets and pillowcases are ironed, the sheets are dried, and in the third, the sheets are cleanly folded for delivery. It is an Italian-made equipment: three new washing machines, each with a loading capacity of 55 kg, ironing and drying calender, ironing rink, drying machine, professional ironing table and special carts. All this was purchased through the ProZorro system.
‘The cost of equipment is about UAH 3 mln. Also, in order to take and deliver the laundry, a car was purchased. We also bought 1.5 thousand bags for clothes, which were distributed to each kindergarten,’ Alexander Ilyin, the Director of ‘Laundry of Educational Institutions’ public utility said.
A centralized laundry will allow efficient use of funds. A special four-component detergents are used for washing. They are fed into the machine during the washing process with dosing pumps. Thus, the human factor is completely excluded. Also, ironing and drying equipment is heated to 150 degrees, which guarantees complete sterilization.
‘Thus, parents don’t worry that the laundry can be mixed up - all sheets and pillowcases, as well as bags of linen are marked. We indicate the kindergarten number on each of them, ‘Alexander Ilyin said.
Every preschool linen is taken once a week. The staff is 27 people. Therefore, the workers have time to do everything on time.
