The employees of Mariupol municipal enterprise of Green construction were trained in lawn aeration. This method of care was decided to be tried out at Greek Square.
‘Aeration consists of thinning the lawn. This is to ensure that air, water and nutrients penetrate to the roots of the grass. For this we use a special technique with the use of an aerator. After aeration, dry grass should be removed with a fan-shaped rake, after which the lawn is fertilized,’ Dmitry Orlenko, foremen said.
According to him, aeration should be carried out twice a year - in spring and autumn. The employees of ‘Zelenstroy’, having been trained, will carry out aeration of the lawn at Greek Square.
‘We invite experts who have already had an experience in lawn maintenance. They train our specialists, who will continue to perform lawn maintenance according to the recommendations,’ Alexander Shulga, Deputy Head of Improvement said.
