‘Gorsvet’ public utility has reconstructed the outdoor lighting network on the post-bridge. 56 LED-lamps were installed and two control cabinets were replaced. In order to save electricity, the lamps automatically change the intensity of light.
According to the director of ‘Gorsvet’ public utility Sergey Prilipin, the project cost was about UAH 960 000. This means the city budget. The post-bridge connects two districts - Central and Left-bank. The transport always move intensively here.
‘Now the average illumination of the post-bridge is 50 lux. 140 watt luminaires were installed. Their warranty period is 15 years, ‘Sergey Prilipin noted.
Lamps automatically reduce their light power depending on the intensity of traffic. Two lamps , in the area of pedestrian crossings, operate at full capacity constantly. This will visually highlight the point of transition for the driver.
