More than UAH 20 mln to be allocated to eliminate the consequences of downpours

The deputies have approved changes in the draft budget of Mariupol city territorial community for 2021 at the session of the city council. According to the additions, part of the budget will be directed to eliminate the consequences of anomalous showers. This is almost UAH 22 mln.

‘The amount will be distributed in three directions: overhaul of housing stock and city buildings, material assistance to victims of floods and the creation of a hydraulic service,’ Kateryna Kalenik, Director of the finance department said.

The roofs that are leaking will be repaired, and premises in educational institutions will be improved in residential buildings. UAH 2.4 mln will be allocated to residents of Mariupol community, whose property has suffered from abnormal downpours.

In addition, according to other changes to the budget, more than UAH 20 mln will be spent on fuel and energy costs, more than UAH 45 mln  for overhaul of the road network and post-bridge. UAH 28.5 mln will be allocated for overhaul of roofs as part of the condominium support program. About UAH 22 mln will be spent for the development of the education sector.
