Today the presentation work of Mariupol distribution center of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian fond has been held. The event is dedicated to the 5th years of work of the center. The deputy mayor Ksenia Sukhova greeted all who were present.
‘It is very important that we have such kind of humanitarian centers like this. The center has done a lot, helping IDPs and providing them with all-important things. Now the city has reached a new level. We are solving more difficult questions. We provide new Mariupol residents with housing and work’, Ksenia Sukhova stressed.
Food package of social help is completed every day in the Center. Due to them, more than a million of people have got assistance- 12.3 mln of food package and 134 tons of provision.
The food is delivered in the distant villages and cities. There are 87 portable and 7 stationary pick-up points.
‘A unique system of humanitarian aid was taken into the basis of center’s work. It includes the analysis of population needs, food assorting, food package forming and its delivery. It is worth noting, the distribution center is decorated with 100 pictures. They were given by the children who live in the ‘grey zone’ within the frameworks of ‘Peaceful summer to the children of Donbass’ project’, the director of project development of Rinat Akhmetov Fond Tatiana Kukhotskaya said.
In conclusion of the official part of the event, all the present were suggested to take part in formation of food packages. Tomorrow morning they will be delivered to Gnutovo, Pavlopol and other populated areas of Volnovakhskiy district.
