Today, on St. Nicholas Day, Mariupol has plunged into the world of miracles and magic. The main tree of the city began to shine on the Theater Square. Thousands of Mariupol residents came to the celebration. Together with the residents, the New Year's beauty and the illumination around the Drama Theater were ‘lit up’ by the City Mayor Vadim Boichenko.
In 2019 Mariupol will meet brightly. Mariupol City Council, together with the Metinvest Group, prepared the ‘New Year wonders of Maria’s City’ for the residents. As part of the program, from December 19 to January 13, various events will be held at the Theater Square. Contests and flash mobs, discos, master classes, performances for children, winter karaoke, photo shoots, performances by musical groups and a fair. Also this week, an ice-skating rink will be launched on Svoboda Square.
New Year's 16 meter Mariupol Christmas tree has become even more beautiful. This year, ithas been supplemented with new toys and a garland - with two additional programs. In addition, new art objects and the Venetian merry-go-round appeared around the Drama Theater.
Congratulating on the New Year holidays Vadim Boichenko noted that 2018 was the year of discoveries for Mariupol. The city began to live a new life.
