The Deputy Mayor Alexander Kochurin told about the way of education, culture and sports development in Mariupol next year at the presentation of the draft budget. The plans include the introduction of the New Ukrainian School project, the overhaul of schools, kindergartens, sports grounds and institutions, cultural facilities, large-scale festivals and the development of the tourist potential of Mariupol.
2018 Mariupol is completing with a capitally repaired kindergarten No. 39, school No. 66, a technical lyceum, a facade of the City Palace of Aesthetic Education and also the beginning of the repair of kindergarten No. 117. Next year they propose to direct almost UAH 200 million to the development of the education sector.
‘80% of educational institutions need repair. In the draft budget of this year, we propose to expand the list of repairs of facilities to ten educational institutions,’ the deputy mayor said.
In the draft budget it is planned to allocate more than UAH 121 million for the development of sports. This amount was made possible by re-registering in Shakhtar football club in Mariupol. “The lion’s share” of funds is going to be spent on the development of sports infrastructure at schools.
More than UAH 30 million will be directed to the development of the cultural sphere. In the project of 2019 they offer to repair key objects. Among them there is the completion of repairs of the school of arts, the overhaul of Korolenko library and the City Palace of Culture on Levyi Bereg.
