Memorandum that helps to strengthen cyber security is signed in Mariupol

A meeting of the Deputy Mayor Yaroslav Khotnyanskiy and the representatives of the International Center for Defense and Security ICDS has been held in Mariupol. The parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. This will provide an opportunity to implement the Estonian-Ukrainian project ‘Resistant Ukraine’. It aims to identify and eliminate problems in the direction of information security.

During the meeting, Yaroslav Khotnyanskiy noted that it is important for Mariupol to develop in this direction: ‘Mariupol occupies a leading position in many directions at the state level. We implement security-related projects together with the Ministry of the Interior and the National Police of Ukraine. Information security is an important direction in which you need to develop and improve. Therefore, we are glad to cooperate in order to prevent information attacks’.

In turn, Dmitriy Teperik, Executive Director of the International Center of Defense and Security, spoke about the importance of a clear strategy in implementing cyber security policies, both at the state and local levels. He also added that he plans to conduct personnel training in Mariupol, exchange experiences and organize joint events.

It is worth noting the International Center for Defense and Security ICDS is a leading analytical center in Estonia. It specializes in foreign policy, security, defense issues of Estonia, its allies and partners, including Ukraine.
