Keys to 103 apartments are received in Mariupol

Today, on the Day of the State Flag of Ukraine, 103 Mariupol families became owners of their own homes. The ceremonial presentation took place in the Theater Square. The keys to the apartments were presented by the Mayor Vadym Boichenko and the chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavel Kyrylenko.

The Mayor congratulated those present on the public holiday and appreciated everyone who works tirelessly for the prosperity of Mariupol and the country.

Peace and prosperity to your families. People who believe in Ukraine gathered there. We appreciate you for being part of our Mariupol family. You have given yourself to serving other people. There are nurses, doctors, teachers, police officers and other representatives of socially significant professions among them. These are people who Mariupol community needs and who are actively working for its good,
Vadym Boichenko addressed to the present.

Thus, 60 families among “new Mariupol residents” received 5 four-room, 18 three-room and 37 two-room flats. These are specialists in the field of education, healthcare, employees of law enforcement agencies and city-forming enterprises, privileged and socially unprotected categories of citizens. The project was implemented under 50/50 co-financing program of the state and the city. The total cost is UAH 36 million.

The flats were owned by 39 orphans within the framework of the regional program for providing housing, children deprived of parental care. The volume of investments amounted to UAH 16 million due to funding from the regional and city budgets.

In addition, 4 flats from the renovated housing stock of the city council within the framework of "Mariupol initiative to support soldiers-internationalists" have been allocated for families of soldiers-internationalists who are on the housing register.

In turn, Pavlo Kyrylenko congratulated everyone on the Day of the State Flag of Ukraine. In addition, he noted the importance of providing housing for residents of Mariupol and Donetsk region.
