Today, the first international conference ‘Grain Logistics and Terminals of Ukraine’ has been held in Mariupol. She gathered more than fifty participants. Among them there are the representatives of sea commercial ports of Ukraine, Donetsk Regional State Administration, Mariupol City Council, agricultural and freight forwarding companies.
Prior to the conference, Deputy Mayor Sergei Zakharov discussed with the heads of the Department of Basic Industries Development and the Director of the Mariupol Sea Commercial Port the poor condition of the roads along which goods are delivered in the direction of Mariupol. As well as the need for their restoration and maintenance. Corresponding appeals will be additionally sent to the relevant state bodies.
‘First of all, any conference is the solution of problems, their discussion and the development of conceptual strategic directions in the promotion of production. In our case, we are promoting the solution of logistic problems related to grain terminals and grain production in Ukraine,’ Sergey Zakharov said.
During the conference, port directors spoke about their achievements in the direction of port diversification and modernization of enterprises. As a part of the program, the conference participants discussed the prospects of the region for the storage and transshipment of grain in ports, new terminals and agrology.
