It is planned to start building a new asphalt concrete plant in Mariupol next year. Now the city is looking for a company that will carry out this project. Mayor Vadym Boichenko  discussed the possibility of such a construction with the potential investors.

‘It is important not only to build a plant, but to start production of asphalt using new, modern technologies and teach the staff. As a result - to double production volumes. We are studying  world practices and plan to exchange experience with an international company,’ Vadym Boichenko said.

The plant is planned to be built on the basis of PU "Mariupolavtodor". Now the enterprise produces up to 40 thousand tons of asphalt mixture per year on its own. The total length of urban roads is 800 km, where 200 km are highways with heavy traffic loads. The increase in production volumes will make it possible to carry out scheduled road repairs even more quickly and at the level of European quality. It is planned to repair 50 km of roads annually in order to renew 70% of the road surface in Mariupol in 10 years.
