An action plan of modernization of the system of water supply is discussed in Mariupol (PHOTOS)

Today a working meeting has been held with the participance of the first deputy minister on the issues of reintegration of temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine Rostislav Zamlynskyi, the representatives of municipality, regional state administration, French companies Beten Ingenierie and Eges, PU “Mariupolvodocanal”. The parties discussed the issues of the first report and determination of action plan of the system of water supply in Mariupol.

Rostyslav Zamlynskyi admitted that it is important to take decisions according to the report of Beten company of the representatives of “Mariupolvodocanal” and “Eges” company. Among the issues requiring clarification is the analysis of sanitary zones, the possibility of using existing networks. According to the First Deputy Minister, the adoption of the report is important for further work in the implementation of the water supply project. During the discussion, specific terms for their decision were determined.

The deputy mayor Serhii Orlov admitted that the meeting gives the possibility to all the sides to discuss the questions and suggestions. He added that the project is ambitious and significant not only for Mariupol, but for the whole Ukraine.

“Our main goal is to get clear water from the tap in Mariupol. We are following this way. First researches have been held and the first results were received,” he admitted.

The representative of Beten company Jean Baptiste Farion told that five potential places for location of water treatment plant have been determined. After the final decision the preparation of the documents for its project development started. Now the action plan is developed and it was shown to the present.

It is worth noting, at the beginning of 2019, the Frame agreement between the Government of the French Republic and the government of Ukraine on official support of the project on water supply of Mariupol was concluded. The document foresees the allocation of EUR 64 mln by French government to support investment project on modernization of water supply system of Mariupol.
