The new transport route 67T has started its work since today. Its driving pattern: Stan 3600 – Pionerskoye village. Thus, the route connected Levoberezhny district of the city with Vinogradnoye, Primorskoye and Pionerskoye villages.
Tamara Krulikovskaya, head of Vinogradnensky village council, said that the settlements of the village council of Vinogradnenskiy did not have its own regular transport connection with Mariupol: ‘The transit route 167 ‘Mariupol-Sopino’ passed through our settlements. We are very pleased that Mariupol City Council heard our requests and the reform of decentralization began to bring positive results. Many residents of our villages work in the city and they need this route. The most important thing is a convenient schedule’.
The first route starts at 04.55 and the last at 20.20 from Mariupol. A minibus will go at intervals of every hour and a half.
The head of the transport development department, Nikita Biryukov, noted that at the moment the route is working in a test mode:
‘We will wake up to the demands of the residents. If they need it, we can adjust the schedule. Today, a lot of work is underway to form a new transport model, not only of Mariupol, but also of nearby communities. We are in the process of acquiring 140 units of new utility transport equipment and we hope that the quality of transport services to all communities in the Mariupol United Territorial Community (OTG) will be improved significantly’.
According to the head of the department of inter-municipal cooperation, Alexander Komar, after the decision to create the OTG, which included Vinogradnenskiy Village Council, active work began at other development projects: ‘In addition to urgent steps to address the transport issue, in 2019 a lot of work was done on outdoor lighting and then for the reconstruction of centralized water supply. The most important thing is that the communities were determined and the oncoming movement of unification began’.
