An unusual excursion on Mariupol can be arranged in ‘Vezha Creative Space’. Due to the modern technologies and VR-glasses, Mariupol residents and city guests have the opportunity to travel to the beginning of the twentieth century. 300 people have already made a virtual walk through the historical streets.
Its route is almost 1 km. It lasts from the intersection of Grecheskaya Street and Mira Avenue to the modern DOSAAF. The designers recreated the appearance of the central street of the city (then it was called Ekaterinenskaya) in 1910s. Most of the buildings have radically changed the look, some are no longer. Simultaneously with the change of slides, the guide tells what a person sees. The five-minute tour includes historical facts about the architecture and outstanding personalities of the city.
This project is a part of ‘Vezha’ exciting tour. In 20 minutes, the visitors will learn about the construction of a water tower and the biography of its architect Victor Nielsen. They are told the legends of the building and the modern concept of creative space.
The tour is made for 20 people per visit. It is held free of charge every day at 12:00 and 19:00 (if there are no planned events), by prior appointment (tel. 097-618-40-85).
