In Mariupol HOA chairmen are taught energy saving

A training seminar has been held in Mariupol for chairmen of societies of co-owners of apartment buildings. The topic is: ‘Organization of the effective work of HOA - from plans to actions. Energy saving – 2019’. During the meeting, they were told about the engineering fundamentals and financial aspects of the thermal modernization of houses.

Head of the Department of Ecology, Energy Management and Labor Protection Vahagn Mnatsakanyan noted that one of the main directions of development of HOAs is the implementation of energy saving measures. Among the effective tools is the Warm Home program.

‘Within its framework, one project was implemented in Mariupol, and in 2018 - ten. Today we have 31 applications for participation in this project, 24 of which are already underway,’ he stressed.

According to the head of the department for interaction and development of HOA , Sergey Marchuk, all conditions have been created in Mariupol for the transition to a new way of managing the housing stock. Due to the HOA support program in the city, the number of co-owners of apartment buildings increases. To date, about 750 homes have created HOAs.

At the seminar, the chairmen were told about state support programs for condominiums, as well as engineering activities aimed at improving energy efficiency of buildings.

After the theoretical part, the workshop participants visited the facilities - examples of the successful implementation of the building weatherization program.
