The deputies adopted a draft decision "On approval of the Regulations of the Mariupol City Council of the VIII convocation." According to Mayor Vadym Boichenko, it is a document which will provide transparent work of deputies and structural divisions.
“The new regulations will become the foundation of open, transparent and, most importantly, effective work of the city council. The working group studied the practices of other cities and implemented the best ones in the document. The proposed regulations are based on the principles of democracy and provide equal rights for all deputies, regardless of political parties. Moreover, it expands the capabilities of deputies, " Vadym Boichenko said.
Ksenia Sukhova added that three meetings were held to form the Rules of Procedure. All comments were taken into account. She also appreciated everyone for their activity, because each faction submitted its proposals.
We will note, Regulations establish the order of activity of city council, convocation of sessions of city council, the order of work of session of city council, decision-making of city council, the order of carrying out plenary sessions of city council, the order of the statement of structure of executive and other bodies of the city council, people of the city council, the order of formation and organization of work of standing commissions, temporary control commissions and other bodies of the city council, the order of participation of deputy factions and groups in work, and other procedures which follow from the powers of the city council established by the Constitution and laws of Ukraine.
