Vadym Novynsky International Charitable Fund has donated about 30 thousand certified protective masks to the diocese of Donetsk region. Besides, some personal protective equipment will be transferred to medical institutions in Mariupol.
It is worth noting that since the outbreak of the epidemic, Vadym Novynsky Foundation gave two mechanical ventilation devices and sets of personal protective equipment for physicians in Mariupol. Also, a PCR laboratory that allows to determine the presence of coronavirus infection directly in Mariupol for 40 minutes.
‘Traditionally, when disaster strikes, we join forces. Vadym Novynsky Foundation makes an invaluable contribution to this common cause. Medical equipment, masks, a laboratory - all this will help Mariupol cope with the pandemic. And it will give the result that all residents of our city are counting on,’ Mikhail Kogut, first deputy mayor said.
In turn, priest Alexei appreciated the patron for all possible help: ‘The church is not a building, but a society of people. Today we adhere to certain restrictions, but this does not affect our faith. Now we will have the opportunity to distribute masks to those who need them’.
It is worth noting that in total Vadym Novynsky Foundation purchased 1 million certified masks. 850 thousand will be handed over to the parishioners of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and the rest will be distributed among medical institutions in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Nikolaev and Kherson regions.
