Young architects from different regions of Ukraine have arrived to Mariupol. They presented their projects within the framework of the architectural contest STEEL FREEDOM 2018. A special excursion was organized for guests in ‘Vezha’ creative space.
Initiative architects were told that the tower was built over a hundred years ago and during that time it was tried on many different roles.
‘This water tower is very symbolic and significant for our city. It was originally built as a water tower. Then it was used as a fire tower. After that the structure, for a long time, was closed. This year we turned the tower into an open space - interesting, cultural and modern. There are discussions, film screenings, conferences, ‘the guide Victoria Davva said.
The guests were most interested in the opportunity to walk around Mariupol at the beginning of the 20th century. This was made possible due to the virtual reality glasses.
Note that the STEEL FREEDOM competition is aimed at developing innovative projects in the field of commercial real estate.
