The overhaul of the nursery-kindergarten No. 114 "Kalinochka" is at the final stage. About 90% of the work has already been completed. The reconstruction will allow more children to be admitted to the pre-school institution.
According to the director of the institution, Tetiana Nekrasova, the building is almost 50 years old. Since that time, it has not known a major overhaul. There were wooden windows there, the roof leaked after heavy rains.
“Now all communications have already been replaced, a new heating system, underfloor heating, alarm and video surveillance systems have been made. We bought equipment - new bed linen, toys, interactive equipment, dishes," the director says.
The institution was visited by 105 pupils, now the kindergarten will be able to accept about 200 children. For the period of work, the children were transferred, together with their teachers, to the nearest kindergartens.
Ihor Radchenko, chief engineer of the capital construction department, notes that all the furniture has already been delivered. Work is underway to improve the territory, where modern playgrounds will appear. In the spring, children will be able to return to the renovated kindergarten.
The project is being implemented within the program of the President of Ukraine "Great Life" due to the investments of the European Investment Bank. The total cost of repair work is UAH 80 million.
